Breast Health & Imaging
The William and Martha Johns Diagnostic Center at AMMC offers advanced digital mammography and bone densitometry services. These technologies help ensure early detection and long-term breast health for women throughout Northeast Arkansas.
Safe Sleep Champion
AMMC is a Gold Safe Sleep Champion, recognized for our commitment to safe infant sleep practices. As a partner with Cribs for Kids®, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines and provide educational training to families, staff, and the community.

Partnering to Improve Maternal Health
AMMC is proud to partner with the Arkansas Perinatal Quality Collaborative (ARPQC), a statewide initiative focused on improving maternal and infant health outcomes. Together with the Arkansas Department of Health, UAMS, and the POWER team, this initiative helps:
- Reduce low-risk cesarean births
- Improve outcomes for patients with hypertension or hemorrhage
- Address maternal health challenges statewide

Dr. Jodi Turano is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She provides comprehensive gynecologic and obstetric care for women at every stage of life.

Natalie Engelken is an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse serving the women’s health needs of patients across all life stages. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is committed to patient-centered care.

Jessica Nutt is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in women’s health. She provides personalized care with a focus on prevention, education, and compassionate support.

Dr. Mark Ballard, MD, FACOOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN providing comprehensive women’s health care, including preventive screenings, gynecologic treatment, urinary incontinence management, minimally invasive surgery, and full-spectrum pregnancy care.
