In an emergency, every second matters. The AMMC Emergency Department is open 24/7 to provide fast, expert care for medical emergencies of all kinds. Our experienced providers are trained in trauma response and advanced life support. We are proud to be recognized as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Arkansas Department of Health.

Stroke Support: AR SAVES Program

AMMC participates in AR SAVES (Stroke Assistance through Virtual Emergency Support), a statewide initiative that partners with hospitals across Arkansas to provide 24/7 consult coverage for patients experiencing strokes. Through this virtual support network, patients may receive life-saving medication that reduces the long-term impact of stroke symptoms.

The AMMC Emergency Department is located on the main hospital campus and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For emergencies, call 9-1-1 or proceed to the nearest emergency room immediately.
