Critical Care

Intensive, Compassionate Care When It Matters Most

24/7 ICU care for critically ill or injured patients.

At Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, our Critical Care Unit (CCU) provides 24/7 intensive monitoring and life-support for patients facing serious or life-threatening health challenges. The 10-bed unit is equipped with sophisticated medical technology and staffed by a multidisciplinary team trained to manage complex, high-acuity cases.

The CCU at AMMC functions as a combined intensive medical, surgical, and cardiac care unit. Patients may be admitted following surgery, trauma, or acute illness requiring close observation and immediate intervention. Our critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, board-certified physicians, and other specialists work together to provide comprehensive, compassionate care.
