At AMMC, we believe education is a cornerstone of lifelong health. Through free classes, workshops, support groups, and awareness events, we empower our community to take control of their health and wellness.

Programs & Events We Offer

  • CPR and First Aid Certification: Including Healthcare Provider CPR, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). AMMC is a certified American Heart Association Community Training Center.
  • Diabetes Education: Support through Diabetes Self-Management classes, community events, and referrals to our Diabetes Care Clinic.
  • Prenatal & Childbirth Education: Classes and resources for expecting parents, including breastfeeding support.
  • Health Screenings: Offered during public health fairs, school visits, and community outreach programs to help detect potential concerns early.
  • Smoking Cessation Programs: Evidence-based support to help you quit and stay tobacco-free.
  • Nutrition & Fitness Education: Practical guidance for building healthier lifestyles.
  • Senior Wellness: Programs focused on mobility, safety, chronic disease management, and healthy aging.
  • Youth Education: Includes school presentations and the MAS*H Program (Medical Applications of Science for Health)—a two-week summer camp for high school students interested in healthcare careers.
  • Community Health Fairs:
    AMMC hosts and participates in health fairs for churches, schools, businesses, and industry groups.
  • Workplace & Civic Presentations: AMMC professionals provide health education in various settings on topics like heart health, nutrition, stress, and more.

Open to the Public

Most AMMC education programs are open to the public and offered at no cost or a low fee. Some programs require advance registration. Community members of all ages are welcome.
